Class Instructors
Crediton School is now under the instruction of Ian Bazley 4th Degree Black Belt. He is a fully qualified Instructor, referee and CRB checked. He is an assistant instructor to Mr Alec Hay 6th Degree at Wellington TAGB and also a Team Leader on Kids Camp.
He has been training for 16 years and has been lucky enough to have trained with and be taught by numerous TAGB Instructors such as Miss Jane Lambert 5th Degree and Nikki Clarke 4th Degree, both holders of numerous world championships and national competitions, Russ Martin 5th and Mr Hay who are both keen exponents of pattern applications, Master Micheal Dew 8th Degree Black Belt and West of England Area Co-ordinator and Chief examiner, to name but a few. This has given him a varied knowledge of Tae Kwon Do from sparring to self defence. He is an enthusiastic team leader in both Adult Summer Camp and Kids Camp, having come away with Best Team Leader on both camps in 2010.
"I would say to anyone thinking about joining come along and see first hand how I teach and run my lessons. Watch first and then take part. The hardest step is walking into that training hall. I should know. Whilst being taken to A&E in May 1995 with a broken nose, I decided to do something to stop it happening again. I felt I had to defend myself but had no idea what to do or what martial arts were available. By chance I came across Tae Kwon Do and have never looked back since. The enthusiasm and drive of the instructors and students within the TAGB is fantastic, each instructor brings something unique to their lesson, hence one of our monthly fees schemes allows students to train with other instructors throughout the South West.
Someone told me that once it (Tae Kwon Do) gets into your blood it really gets into your blood and in my case it certainly has, but not everyone is me and whatever reason you have for joining or thinking of joining: be it fitness, self defence or tournaments, we cater for you.
One of the many great things about Tae Kwon Do is you never stop learning. I will always strive to teach every lesson with enthusiasm and motivation. And if the students enjoy the lessons and keep coming back with smiles on their faces, I am doing what is expected of a Tae Kwon Do instructor."
